About
Nashaita is a prolific biomedical researcher and published author of multiple peer-reviewed journal articles. She is involved in three different research projects, all falling squarely in the soft-tissue regeneration applications, and each one having great relevance towards expediting the recovery process and improving overall healthcare outcomes. With a focus on innovative solutions and interdisciplinary approaches, Nashaita strives to advance the field of biomedical research and improve the lives of many around the world.

Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering

During her Ph.D, Nashaita was actively involved in several student organizations focused on promoting women in STEM initiatives such as SWE and BMES. Having undergone 3 ACL reconstructions herself, she has personal investment in her tissue engineering which focuses on ACL reconstruction applications.

M.S. in Biomedical Engineering

During her Master's, Nashaita dove into research focused on bone and neural regeneration applications. She successfully completed her thesis research in 7 months while enduring the challenges caused by the pandemic. She was invited to present her findings at major conferences around the U.S.

B.S. Astrobiology

Nashaita traveled to the U.S. at the age of 17 to pursue her undergrad in Astrobiology. She got involved in research very early on and volunteered in several labs to find what she was truly interested in.
